Event Updates Due to the Weather

Please find the following weather updates due to the Nor’easter forecast:

  • Cancelled – New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival is cancelled for BOTH Saturday and Sunday due to the anticipated weather.
  • Cancelled – Philadelphia Zoo has cancelled the car show on Sunday, no information is available about a new date at this time. The Zoo will otherwise operate like normal.
  • Cancelled – Philly AIDS Thrift has cancelled the 21st Anniversary Block Party on Saturday – if there is news of a new date we will issue another statement. Please support PAT during this time of year – the store will be stocked inside with Halloween and fall gear all weekend.
  • Cancelled – Outside, Moved Inside – South Street Oktoberfest by Brahaus Schmitz has cancelled the outdoor portion of South Street Oktoberfest – festivities will move inside including special food and drink menus. Please get your Oktoberfest on at the Armory on Oct 9-10.
  • Cancelled – The larger South Street Fall Festival with PAT and Oktoberfest is also cancelled at this time.
  • Moved Inside – Evil Genius Oktoberfest will move inside on Saturday, from 12-6pm.
  • Moved Inside – Yards Oktoberfest will move inside on Saturday, from 12-4pm/
  • Postponed – Northern Liberties Farmers’ Market Fitness Festival is moved to October 3rd.
  • TBD – Berwyn Farmers’ Market Apple Fest is still on at this time.

WMMR’s Preston & Steve, NRG & Philabundance Kick Off Camp Out for Hunger

PHILADELPHIA – WMMR’s Preston & Steve are kicking off Camp Out for Hunger 2026 with  the inaugural Camp Out for Hunger Kickoff Pep Rally, presented by NRG, at the Vivint Home Turf at Dilworth Park, 1 South 15th St., Philadelphia, on September 29 from 11 a.m.  to 1:30 p.m. 

The event will launch Camp Out for Hunger 2026 donation efforts by providing attendees  with an opportunity to pick up food drive collection kits. The kits include everything  necessary to start a food drive, including promotional posters and collection boxes. Plus,  the pep rally will feature special guests, games, giveaways, and more.

Take the Ultimate Delaware Fall Road Trip

This fall, visitors can turn a trip to Delaware State Parks into the ultimate fall road trip with festivities popping up across the state.

Along the way, travelers can hike beneath changing leaves, bike scenic trails, paddle quiet waterways, discover historic sites, enjoy seasonal programs and extend the trip with camping or cabin stays. Part of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, there are 17 state parks across Delaware, and fall offers an ideal time to experience the variety of landscapes, outdoor recreation and history found throughout the state.

Join one of the many special events and activities hosted by Delaware State Parks Friends organizations:

• Beer, Wine and Spirits Festival at Trap Pond on Sept. 26

• Pond Fest at Lums Pond on Oct. 10

HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase Returns

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) invites media to cover the sixth annual Innovative Housing Showcase on the National Mall. As a proud partner of the Freedom 250 Initiative, the Showcase will include a variety of full-scale housing models, including manufactured, 3D-printed, and modular homes, as well as industry-focused panel discussions and displays highlighting American innovations that can help expand housing supply, lower construction costs, and make homeownership more attainable.

This year’s Showcase is sponsored by: International Code Council (ICC), Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Rocket, and Structural Building Components Association (SBCA).
